I think you could see it as a good thing that other people seem to have the same ideas as you - maybe a sign that you're on the right track? Especially in writing about spirituality I think originality is highly overrated (but then again I'm Orthodox so it makes sense I would say that). The point is even it's been said before, the world hasn't heard you say it before, so go for it!

I think for a while I was genuinely not sure if I could be cited for plagiarism, and Ruth's reminder to me that ideas can't be copyrighted (and further that it's only PhD students who have to come up with something totally original!) really helped. But there IS still the Jenn who went to Beach Day dressed as a seagull in here somewhere, and THAT Jenn probably still harbors prideful delusions of total originality.
